Hello,

Since i don't understand "deutsch", i'll write in english.

I have the next question : how are the wheels of the Nerve XC5. Does anyone had problems with them? Are the rims (felge) steady anough? I ordered an XC5, but the wheels where the only thing that bothered me. So if there are any problems known, i'll change them. What wheels would be the best? XM819/DT240 or XC717/XT.

Thank you. Fielen dank!;)

so, i don´t drive a canyon, but may be i can help you a bit.
the rims are from "iridium", thats an special own brand designed from canyon itself. i don´t habe any experience with this label, but i would change it because of the weight into "dt swiss xr 4.1d"-rims or similar mavic rims, like "xc 717".

the hubs are shimano deore; good, solid quality hubs with long life quarantee, but nothing special. it´s your choice and i don´t know the amount of money you have available to change something more, but in my opinion: change the hubs+rims into following run wheel set:

hubs: dt swiss s240 (expensive, but best choice), dt swiss onyx (one class lower then s240) or shimano xt (if you haven´t enough money, use the "deore" which are installed)
rims: dt swiss 4.1d

i hope, that could help you a little bit

Thank you for the backgroundinformation of Iridium! I'm thinking about selling the weels while they are stil new and unused. Should 130/140 euro be a correct price?

You can buy a (new) set of Deore XT on Mavic XM321 at already €159 .- !
Look here.
May be you'll find sb paying you the money.
I wouldn't...

Edit: @ aemkei77: Was ist ein "rip off"? So was wie Wucher...?!

Here in Belgium the prices are about +20% from the prices in Germany. For example : a Trek 6700 Disk 2006 costs 1321 euro, with a reduction of 10% you pay about 1200 euro. That's why so many belgian bikers buy there biker online in Germany. Canyon is going to have lots of succes in Belgium and Holland if they deliver quality and give a good service.
I'll ask 140 to get 125 for that wheelset.

"Rip off" means "steel there money, by asking to mutch".

I don't think that anyone would pay more than 70 Euros for that wheelset.
My experiences with Iridium wheels are pretty good. I've a "Iridium Freeride" Wheelset on my ES6 and it is much better than expected.

Not a single problem yet, reasonably stiff.

Ok, thanks. I'll weigh mine before selling them but i don't think i'll be surpiced positive. The deore is not a lightweigh :)

Thank you all for your reactions! :daumen:

Hello,
I habe the same wheel set and I'm very satisfied with them. Okay, the wheel set isn't very light, but it works good. When I bought my bike, I was sceptical, too. I would advise you to test it.
