Yes!! It's my video. 11 speed cassette with custom 42t cog and upgraded to 11 speed Sram o Shimano shifter.

Can u please provide details about the custom parts. If this is a XT 10sp cassette, how did you modify the distance between the sprockets on the spider? The 10sp shifter has now a different ratchet?

The 42 cog is laser cut in stainless steel and is just attached to the spider with a spacer between 36 and 42. Distance between cogs is the same for 10 or 11 speed, as you can see in the Santa Cruz photo you can use this 11 speed cassette with Sram XO1 shifter and derailleur.

For Sram shifters I make a new ratchet that replaces the original, and for Shimano I modify one of the internal parts.

Verständlich. Reicht ja auch, habe mich nur gewundert. Ich habe bei OneUp bestellt und lese danach hier den Beitrag, dass es aus England verschickt wird.
Die 2 Wochen Lieferzeit gehen in Ordnung

Yes, correct, to the spider. Just like the new XTR cassette, 11 speed cassette on 10 speed freehub.

The 2 biggest sprocket groups seem to use the same space on the free hub. But there must be a difference because 11s road uses more space than xtr 11s, requiring a different freehub.

No, it's the same spacing. Some are using my 11s cassette with the new XTR 11s shifter and works perfect.

I modify one of the mechanism internal parts. You must disassemble the mechanism so it's a bit dificult. I usually sell Zee shifters upgraded to 11s or people send me their shifters to modify. The shifters you can use are: XT M770 10s, SLX M670 and Zee M640. No actual XT M780.

Hallo zusammen.

Hab jetzt einige Seiten hier durch und Frage vor dem geplanten Umbau nur sicherheitshalber nach

Vorne hab ich eine 2-Fach XT Kurbel - da mochte im ein 30iger NW von Raceface verbauen
Hinten eine XT 11-36 Kassette - da möchte ich ein 42iger ergänzen (von wem weiss ich noch nicht - spielt keine Rolle oder?)
Ein normales Shimano XT Schaltwerk ohne Schadow Plus hab ich aktuell - werd mal mit der vorhandenen Bionicon Kette Führung probieren und notfalls auf Schadow plus wechseln

Funktioniert das so? Kettenlinie sollte passen?

Soweit ich weiß brauchst du eher ne KeFü oben, da der Umwerfer weg fällt. Wobei ja theoretisch sogar ganz ohne gehen soll.

Hauptsächlich gehts mir bei meiner Frage um die Kettenlinie. Ob das mit der 2 fach XT Kurbel am "großen" Blatt funzt...

Muss wahrscheinlich noch ein gutes Stück nach innen. Zusätzlich zum im 30er NW Blatt integrierten Spacer nochmal ca. 2mm. Annahme: du hast eine FC-M785.

Hm....wäre dann besser vorne innen ein 28iger Blatt zu montieren und außen einen Bash ?
Dann sollte hinten eigentlich fast ein 40iger reichen...

Bei Montage auf dem kleinen Blatt muss die Antriebsseite bei einem 28er Blatt knapp 6-7mm vom Rahmen weg, also nicht realistisch machbar.

Bei 48,8mm Kettenlinie zwischen den Blättern bist du bei grob 45mm ohne Spacer und damit 4mm weiter innen als bei XX1. Das kleine Ritzel (11er) kann mMn den Schräglauf schlechter ab als ein 40+z Ritzel. Daher lieber 4mm nach innen, als 4mm nach außen bei 2-fach. Einzig bei Einsatzgebieten wo hauptsächlich auf den kleinen Ritzeln gefahren wird würde ich das als beste Lösung sehen.
