Few pictures of the true key points, just the general steps and not the interesting ones.
It has been a good year and a half process, that included a heavy demotivation after the first use of water based paint.

I never liked the original color combination (bike was purchased second hand), so decided to re-paint.
After fully sanding the frame, I applied a layer of primer (Octoral octobase).

I sanded smoothly, with P500 and water.
Original plan was to have a silver front with a black rear.

that was my first experience with Sikkens water base paint for cars. Nightmare. I was painting outdoors, in the summer, with high humidity and aprox 30deg. The paint would not dry, would make ponds, get defects etc. It took aprox 2 hours from a "wet coat" to touch dry.
I got very demotivated, but had to use the water base paint so neighborhood can't complain.
I totally abandoned the project since I have several bikes to ride. Some months ago, a neighbor offered me a "dark room" for plants, with filters, so I gave a new try to the paint. It was better than looking for paint booths in Switzerland!
So, I started with the chain stays and it worked great.
In this case, full black and when dry, I masked the letters and painted them with the gold using airbrush.

Now that I knew the new setup was working, since the water paint needs the airflow to dry, I reworked the main triangle

I had used the battery cover as a test piece, and wanted to start it again because the amount of defects was terrible.

But when I was sanding it (P500, wet sand), all the colors started showing and it gave a "ciberpunk" appearance that I really liked, so I changed my mind about the final color scheme for the bike.

Now the main triangle needed a layer of gold

Then red

I masked the letters and logo at this point with the Oramask cut with the plotter.

A went for a layer of full black

Then finally silver then removed the letter masks.

At this point, I think I could have gone for the original plan of silver..... But the temptation to do something unique was too big, so again to the sanding room, and P500 with water. I used a sanding block, and tried to be consistent, gentle, as the paint is quite thin. I had no issue in going through all the layers, as this was visually interesting.
Once achieved, 2 layers of clear coat and it deserves a polish, but this season was already here and wanted to use the bike as soon as possible. It will get polished during the winter to achieve more shine ;)
