Downhill ist nicht mehr so aktuell. Okay

Das Rad ist nicht mehr so aktuell. G19 ist 27,5 und ist sicher wenig gefragt wenn daneben auch ein G1 existiert (was ja auch bei der DH WM am Start war vor 2 Jahren). Vielleicht kommt da ja was neues irgendwann

G1 hat doch nur 162-175mm Federweg und ist ein Enduro.

Habe schon G19 gefunden, mit 200mm und 29er Rädern, scheint aber Custom gewesen zu sein.

G1 hat doch nur 162-175mm Federweg und ist ein Enduro.

Habe schon G19 gefunden, mit 200mm und 29er Rädern, scheint aber Custom gewesen zu sein.

Es gab Mal einen Prototyp für Jack Reading, der hat das Ding sogar verkauft.
G1 kannst therotisch mit längeren Dämpfer fahren, aber die 175mm sind jetzt beim fahren kaum spürbarer unterschied zu den 190mm vom g19. Ubterrohr ist ja auch von g19.
Ich bin das g19 damals als mullet gefahren, danach nen 29 Proto der für nen Team gebaut wurde, aber nie in Serie ging.

Wir hatten das ja schon ausführlich diskutiert.
Am wichtigsten wäre erst mal, die Gabeleinbaulänge auf 600 mm hoch zu fahren.

Ich denk mal nicht, dass es ein Problem für Nicolai ist, ein 200mm G19 mit 29er als Custom zu bauen. Ist ja kein Hexenwerk. Gab es ja alles schon. Wundert mich echt, das hier keiner angepasste G19 in Betrieb hat.

Ich brauche Ihre Hilfe bei etwas, ich habe versucht, die Melodie für die EXT Storia auf dem G1 zu finden, ich kann den Code anscheinend nirgendwo finden, ich habe Nicolai bereits seit ein paar Tagen eine E-Mail geschickt, aber ich habe es nicht getan Ich habe noch keine Antwort erhalten (zum Glück sind ihre Fahrräder besser als ihre E-Mail-Antwortzeit ) Ich möchte mit der Melodie experimentieren, also muss ich wissen, was sich derzeit in meinem Dämpfer befindet.

Entschuldigung für das schlechte Deutsch, ich hoffe du verstehst meine Nachricht, ich benutze Google Übersetzer.

googles translation is not the best...are you talking about the internal tune of the shock as it is provided by EXT for Nicolai. As far as i know there is a stock tune for the G1 that is only adjustet to ride style and riders weight by different spring rates, so no individual tuning before bike delivery. But that is what i have heard and i dont know if thats true for sure!

Thanks for the reply, I have already contacted EXT about this, they replied asking for the code on the shock, I sent that and waiting for their reply, I am not sure if Nicolai has many different tunes for different riders, but I will find out! I know for sure that the Geometron guys are running a different tune (less compression and faster rebound), thanks!

I have read at various places that Geometron Storias are custom-tuned to the rider while Nicolai Storias are not, they come with a standard tune.

I talked with Geometron bikes about the Nicolai G1 Tune, compression stack seems to be the same between the two shock tunes but the rebound stack is quite different, with the Geometron tune being a lot lighter (faster) in rebound. I will soon try it out and let you know how it feels. Have a great weekend!

Ich habe ein Geometron aber niemals ein Vergleich gemacht zum G1. War mir nicht bekannt das der Dämpfer etwas anders konfiguriert war.

Compression is the same between the two shocks, rebound is quite faster for the Geometron. In my opinion if you ride natural rocky and rough trails, a faster rebound should help.

Find das EXT „Nicolai Setting“ sehr teigig und zäh und überdämpft.. hatte vorher einen EXT direkt von Marco im Enduro davor.. das war auch stark gedämpft aber etwas spritziger

I will soon try tge Geometron tune. I believe that EXT and Nicolai just follows a different “school” compared to everyone else, which basically involves more restricted (slower) rebound. The beauty of the EXT shocks is that they can be fully customizable so it worths trying a different tune.

Mit meinen 84 kg/185 lbs und 425 lbs Coil I'm 175 mm Setup liege ich voll mittig bei 5-6 Klicks rebound (von geschlossen). Passt gut zur 180 mm Fox 38 (105 PSI, mittlere Kompression). Da muss ich die Fox schon deutlich schneller im Rebound stellen als vorgegeben, damit es mit dem EXT harmoniert
........lange Rede: bei meinem Körper und mittleren Fähigkeiten passt der Rebound Range von EXT/Nicolai, mit Luft in beide Richtungen.
P.s.: meines Wissens nach gibt Nicolai härtere Federn raus im Vergleich zu Geometron (auf das Körpergewicht bezogen).
