Ok, dann danke an alle, ich werd es mal mit der Madonna probieren. Die Möglichkeit die kurze Kettenstrebe zu fahren gibt es bei L ja auch noch, sollte somit gut an die örtlichen Gegebenheiten angepasst werden können.

Jetzt bleibt nur noch die Frage nach der Farbe, (die es ja nicht gibt ). Schwarz oder eben Ra(a)w…

Dämpfer wird es wohl erstmal der TTX Air werden oder gibt es da was negatives zu berichten?

Nachdem ich beide gefahren bin, würde ich auch eher die Madonna behalten. Vor allem wenn man im Uphill keine KOMs ergattern will und der Schwerpunkt bergab liegt. Mit dem Jibb kommt man auf Enduro Strecken schon zurecht, rumpelt halt massiv (DPX2) und man braucht immer gut Druck am Vorderrad. Bei der Sitzposition bei gleicher Rahmengröße finde ich die Madonna um einges bequemer. Gewicht ist ja bei beiden Modellen fast indentisch, zumindest der Angabe auf der Homepage nach. Hängt dann also von den Anbauteilen ab.

Bei der Farbe gibt es jeweils Vor- und Nachteile. Schwarz gibt eine gute Stealth-Optik, aber man sieht halt sofort jedes Stück Staub und Schlamm. Die Logos sind recht unscheinbar. Bei raw wiederum kommt das Material maximal gut zur Geltung und das teilweise gebürstete Finish (z.B. hier am Unterrohr zu erahnen) finde ich ziemlich geil. Das übersieht man meistens auf den Fotos.

Ende nächster Woche steht meine V2 in L und RAW zum Verkauf. Die Kiste hat nen 65er Rocker und nen getunten Anyrace super Deluxe Air. Bei Interesse scheint mir einfach ne PN.

Did you want to take it up again, has someone perhaps already determined where the discrepancy between the weight given by RAAW comes from? You might have to pull the headset off as well?

I don't have the exact number in my head either, but my V2.2 Medium also weighed over 4kg without a damper.

I have brought the topic to RAAW and after a discussion they corrected the data on their website. Now it says: 3.9kg for size S (previously M) including hardware, mud guards and axle (no headset)

For me, previous figures were quite misleading. Why would you not include an axle? Can you ride without it? Is it not specific frame?

I weighted mine "L" V2.2 and it is ~4.05-4.10kg without shock. 4.7kg with Float X2

Numbers on a website should be accurate, good to know they are now. And I can understand your frustration.

At the same time Raaw is pretty up front with their approach on weight. They clearly say that if weight is a major concern, there are other great options on the market.
I sometimes fantasize about a really light frame for my 29er enduro bike, but every time I actually ride it(my Madonna), I don’t mind it and am astonished by the fact.
I’ve had lighter carbon bikes of the same category. And light weight IS nice. But with proper tires all these bikes didn’t feel especially snappy. And the light frames came with noticeable drawbacks regarding longevity.
Not necessarily did they break (although I had two carbon frames fail, without crashing), but bearings and glued in bearing seats were a nuisance after the first season.
My Madonna is easy to maintain, holds up great for me and that’s why I put up with considerable heft of the frame.
If there was a way to save a considerable (1,5kg+) on the frame without ANY drawbacks, shut up and take my money

My only gripe was inaccurate values on the website. Tried to make an informative decission and accounted for the increased weight vs all other pros. Result was - yeah, i want it still And then you see the values are off by ~400-450g, a bit of the letdown.

After finally being able to ride it i was convinced i have made a right decision Rides just great. Finally have a bike with a good both: uphill and downhill position.
A bike with 180/160 travel that goes uphill like you would not expect. When pointed down inspires with confidence and is really playful, just wants to rip... go faster and faster....

So all in all i can live with the weight, done as much on other fronts as reasonable and have a dream bike i wanted

Full on enduro ready and weighing 15.10kg :-D

Actually with carbon IMHO you could. What's most beneficial with madonna is geometry + suspension kinematics + long dropper. Look at Orbea Rallon 2022 - pretty similar principals but supposedly frame alone weights 2.3kg.

Ich find raw steht dem bike so viel besser als schwarz Lass vor allem mal hören wie sich der Öhlins air shock fährt! Sind das 170 oder 180 mm vorne? Mit dem rise am Lenker sieht das für meinen Geschmack schon sehr hoch aus. Aber jeder wie er's mag.

Dafür wäre ein Bild von der Seite interessant, sieht nach ordentlicher Sattelüberhöhung aus. Kenne ich leider nur zu gut.

Servus Raaw-Fahre,
bin auch am überlegen mir ein Madonna anzuschaffen.
Liege aber mit meinen Körperproportionen zwischen L und XL.
gibt es jemanden mit ähnlichen Abmessungen, der mir ev. mit seinen Erfahrungen weiterhelfen kann.
bin 189cm groß und langbeinig mit 93cm Schrittlänge.
