ROHLOFF Speedhub TUNING

Hi every body !

I just replace old original bearing by 2 sealed bearing like you speak TunIn.
I ride a lot in mud.

I now have a big problem : gears aren't in order ?!?

Is some one has an idea ?

I push the axle by gently striking with a hammer... the cap came easily...

Do you think that one of "42" in the famous "Rohloff Speedhub exploded view" spring pawl could have "move" ? Or a 41 pawl blocked ?

I return all possibilities in my brain, but I'm not a specialist
!

Thanks for your help ;)

Edit : un little strike on the drive side, and it's all right :)

It would be important if those hammer blows can dislodge the springs or something else.
It is the first news I know about this.
Perhaps you may have to disassemble it.
It's a good excuse to become a specialist ... but not like me!! ;-)

Thanks TunIN.
To be honest with you, I ever dismantle the hub...
I replace all bearings for sealed ones.
I have a titane custom OEM
I ride with an internal commande, with a disc Hub.
All screw as titane ones
I just install a Gates belt.

So, I was a mid specialist :)

Can you tell me where you order your cap ?

Like you, I don't want to be dependent about Rohloff for my hub.
I can't understand why the don't sold spare parts.
If I want to change the crank of my Porsche 911 GT3 (I have no Porsche...), Porsche sell me the spare parts, they don't mind if I can do it properly or not !!!

So, a little strike drive side resolve my problem... Maybe a pawl block or mechanism to much tightened

Internal with disc!

So now you can help me!

I also have "internal command" with discs and Tune twist shifter.

About frame, not so beautiful like yours but very light… some paint work needed... I remove the paint to make my own tests with new carbon fiber housing wire tops. I added more layers of carbon fiber where I drilled the frame for the internal housing guide. The old housing tops have been removed.

Carbon fiber is easy to work by yourself with "carbonmods" and "easycomposites" products, for example.Lots of work doing sanding carbon fiber.

Now changing gears feels too much hard than "external gear mech."

I think "internal pulley" has a worse ratio than external one.

What you think about this? Do not know people with "internal command" with discs in Spain (only Alpinibis)

What twist shifterdo you have?

Thanks

Thanks for my frame;)
It's a steel taylor made and optimized for Rohloff.

With this système, I can twist the shifter with only 2 fingers ;)
It's very important that cables come out the internal command directly, without housing.
To seal that, you can set some shimano caps or... It's a secret, some nipples grippal vaccine that you can ask to your doctor.
On my frame, with the genuine OEM axle, cables don't arrived straight to housing.
So I had to make another one, in titanium, with an offset of 15° (not on picture).

Hallo !
I write in English because I don't know German... I'm so sorry, and Google don't help me anymore :)

I ask to me why the spring in the end of the selection axle is so strong ?
I speak about the 48 parts.
Is someone can explain me in few single words the utility of such en strong spring ?
Thanks a lot !

That spring is part of the indexing mechanism ... with 3 balls and a castellated washer.
The set of indexing allows the change step by step.

Hallo TunIn ;)
Yes I know that, but why do you think that is so much strong ?
It's pretty difficult to rotate the axle with an 8 mm wrench, no ?
