Vaast A/1 RCZ [A]ufbau-/Laber-Thread

Well, if you have the Praxis crankset, you cannot fit a Sram bb. Apparently the pf30 Praxis bb is hard to source. It is m30 drive side and m28 non-drive side (or the opposite but you get the point).

They said they would reimburse up to 200usd to swap parts/labor. I'd rather do the work myself and get an upgrade in frame material or negociate with them : they pay for what ever bb you want so the frame replacement can be shipped sooner than later.

I don't know how recall procedures works, that's probably a massive chore to comply with regulations and stuff. I'm 14.67% sure that offering a lower-end replacement product is illegal, especially in Europe, so that must be their choke point and they try to do some damage control not to go bankrupt (pure guessing at this point).

I wonder if United Wheels just dissappears, then the seller would be responsible for compensation. I'll be fine talking 100k RCZ points.

Good morning, and for those of us with the complete Rival AXS groupset, what bottom bracket do we have installed? Is it compatible with the possible Niner aluminum frame? And with the carbon one?

I already told them I'm not willing to accept a replacement with an aluminum frame like the Niner, to which they haven't responded. We also have to consider all the extras (frame wrap, fork, and protectors) we invested in for the Vaast frame, which can't be transferred to a new one.
I even paid for a new shift fork as a replacement, which cost me 3 months of paperwork and €35 that is now absolutely worthless.
I think this looks very bad, aside from not being able to use the bike, which is my biggest problem right now. I'm looking to buy a new frame and migrate the entire Rival AXS groupset, which is the most valuable part of the bike at the moment.

No, but you could get rid of the Praxis Crankset - that was my point (and I did it alredy on the Vaasts).
If you want to keep your Praxis Crankset on a Niner bike, you need something like this:

Vaast A/1 is using a T47 BB.
Niner is using a PF30 BB.

Therefore it's a Praxis T47 M30 in the Vaast which is not compatible with the PF30 BB in a Niner Frame and you need a new BB (see above).
Hence my point, if I would have a new frame, I would get rid of Praxis as it is hard to source in the EU.
SRAM is cheap and available.

(btw: I have a niner RLT steel (unrelated from the recall) and Vaast A/1 here, so this is no guesswork ;) )
