Ich hab mich viermal eingeklinkt und bin dabei ein 160mm BFe zu planen. Ich hoffe mal das meine Laufräder noch rein passen und die Farbe nicht zu porno wird. Das Rot sah schon echt Hammer aus. Ich bin gespannt ob sich auch am Preis was tut.

Hi, Cotic wird das neue BFe in ca 2 Wochen vorstellen. Ich darf noch nichts verraten nur so viel das es sehr interessant wird Die Rahmen kommen aber leider in zwei Sendungen. Die ersten 10 Rahmen sind zwar nächste Woche da aber leider schon verkauft. Die Hauptlieferung mit Rahmen kommt dann erst Mitte September. Es hat sich alles ein bissel verzögert.

The frame is now based around a 140mm fork, but still with 120-160mm capability, just as it always has been. Feedback from owners is that 140mm is overwhelmingly the most popular fork for this frame, so I designed it to work really well with those. Also listening to riders and learning from the Droplink bikes, the bottom bracket is now much lower when running longer forks, at 43mm drop with rider on board. That's nearly 20mm lower than the previous BFe275 when run with 140mm forks. Allied to the seat angle at 73 deg with the 140mm fork (2 deg steeper than the previous OFI geometry) and you're back in the middle of the bike when seated for getting the power down on the climbs.
For the first time we have taken the lead from the Droplink bikes and massively increased the standover clearance, with a brace on the seat tube just like it's big brother, the Rocket. There are also shorter seat tubes across the sizes to account for the 150mm or more dropper posts that are now prevalent. You have much more space to throw some shapes on the new BFe!
The tyre clearance is increased so that the BFe will work with the new generation of 27.5 x 2.6" tyres and wider rims, and it's even 26 x 3.0" Plus compatible too, and the rear end is 142mm thru axle all the way.
The final piece of the puzzle was the revised sizing range. All the sizes have longer reach, but the gaps between the sizes are now much bigger than before; the idea being that almost all riders will be able to run a stem in the 35-45mm range and still have plenty of room to move. The short stems give wonderfully precise and responsive handling, which allowed me to push the head angle back to 66 deg with the 140mm fork. Conveniently enough, 35mm and 45mm are the lengths the new Cotic ShortStem is available which is standard on the Silver and Gold build bikes!
We have tested this new sizing, from Sam at 5ft 7in to me at 6ft 3in and we're really happy with it. As always, if you have questions, drop us a line, but have a good look at the Sizing and Geometry Chart on the product page first.

Sehr schön, dass Cy beim BFe den neuen Geometrieansatz gewählt hat! Beim Sitz- (73°) und Lenkwinkel (66°) bleibt er seiner Linie treu
