The H9C Project
Scott hat die Chopper-Legende und ehemaligen FMX-Star Danny Schneider damit beauftragt, ein einmaliges Custom-e-Bike zu bauen. Hier kommt die erste der drei Webisoden zur Entstehung des Bikes.

SCOTT’s multiple award winning E-Venture series provides riders with exactly these qualities coupled with a slick design and a long battery life. But for SCOTT, this wasn’t enough. „We wanted to go further with this bike, and this is when we contacted Danny“ said Jochen, PR manager at SCOTT. Danny Schneider is the owner and founder of Hardnine Choppers, and is the most well known custom motorcycle builder in Switzerland. „So we gave him a SCOTT Voltage E-Bike to see what he could come up with“ continued Jochen, „and the result is going to give a whole new meaning to E-Bikes.“ Danny and SCOTT will release the H9C-Project in a series of three webisodes.
„It is easy to copy stuff – but it’s hard to do something that nobody has ever seen before.“ said Danny who doesn’t want to reveal too many details yet. All we know is that it will be a unique style that nobody has ever seen before as well as one small hint: „Most bicycles are overloaded with unnecessary stuff!“, he says. „I believe that less is more.“
SCOTT has put together several lifestyle projects like the Color your City and the OTG project with French artist Grems from last year. The H9C mission was to bring this lifestyle theme to the E-Bikes.
„For me SCOTT is an innovative company with cool and professional people at the helm. I’ve always liked the brand“, said Danny. When asked what he has in common with SCOTT he declared, “ I relate to the SCOTT brand in that I am always working to be innovative and different while challenging my competitors all the time“
About Danny:
As one of the pioneers in Swiss FMX, Danny started his company Hardnine Choppers in Switzerland in 2002 after he had an accident during a training session where he broke his ankle 18 times, which finished his FMX career immediately. After spending 4 months in a hospital, it started to become clear that he wouldn´t be able to get back on a dirt bike due to his stiff foot and chronic bone infection.
Instead of taking the insurance money or starting an eight-to-five office job, he decided to build something of his own open Hardnine Choppers garage. His first project was the D`MX bike and over 20 International major motorcycle magazines reported his achievement. He started to get invited to all the major bike shows, like „AMD World Championship of Bike Building“ where he finished in 3rd place in the modified Harley category. He also went to the „Artistry of Iron Master builders Championship“ and was the first European bike builder to ever be invited to the „Yokohama Mooneyes Show“ as a special guest.
Last year he built a Triumph 5s from 1942, which became even more successful than the D´MX, and travelled to shows all around the world to present it. Over the course of a year he took it to Europe, Brazil, Sturgis, Las Vegas, LA and even back to Japan. In his downtime Danny worked on 2 vintage flattrack bikes, simply for the fun of riding them afterwards.
Danny’s roots are also in BMX. He rides his BMX three times a week and these days you might even even find him back on the dirt bike.
